ITINERARY
DAY 1 - MONDAY WINDHOEK - TSUMEB
Morning departure from Windhoek to Okahandja, the former tribal centre of the Herero and an old mission station. Visit Herero graves, the German Schutztruppe cemetery and Kavango woodcarvers market. Continue via Otjiwarongo and Otavi to Tsumeb. Visit the open air Cultural Village for insight into the rural life of Namibian tribes. Visit the Mine museum. Lunch en-route. Overnight Tsumeb [LD]
DAY 2 - TUESDAY TSUMEB - ETOSHA REGION
Breakfast then depart to Treesleeper Camp near Tsintsabis, home to the two Bushmen tribes. See traditional hunting and gathering lifestyle at historic living village. Light lunch and travel to Farm Hedwigslust and Ombili Foundation – an upliftment project teaching farming skills to the resident Bushmen.

DAY 3 - WEDNESDAY ETOSHA REGION - OSHAKATI
Travel north to Ovamboland, the most densely populated region of Namibia. Visit the Nakambale Museum at Olukondo, representing the role of the Finnish Mission, the church and the local cultures. Continue to Ngonga homestead and observe demonstrations on wheat-crushing, basket-weaving, hair-plaiting, traditional dancing and music. Enjoy traditional lunch then continue to Oshakati via Ondangwa. Overnight in Oshakati [FB]
DAY 4 - THURSDAY OSHAKATI - OPUWO
Breakfast then travel through the western Ovamboland, a landscape characterized by flat, sandy plains dotted with Makalani palms, savannah grasslands and Mopane woodlands. Visit different attractions then continue to Opuwo via Ruacana. Lunch packs en route. Overnight in Kunene region/Kaokoland [BD+LP]
DAY 5 - FRIDAY OPUWO - ETOSHA REGION
Breakfast then visit a typical Himba settlement. The Himba, a sub-tribe of the Herero, are nomads still living by their old tradition and culture. A local guide will accompany the group and negotiate an informative visit to a Kraal (settlement). Afterwards we return via Opuwo to a lodge on the western border of the Etosha National Park. Lunch packs en-route. Late afternoon game drive. Overnight western border of Etosha [BD+LP]
DAY 6 - SATURDAY ETOSHA REGION
Travel through the western part of Etosha National Park where Oryx (gemsbok) and many other antelope abound. Visit Sprokieswoud (Phantom or Fairy Forest). Lunch packs en route. Continue with game viewing.

DAY 7 - SUNDAY ETOSHA REGION - WINDHOEK
Breakfast followed by short game drive before returning to Windhoek via Outjo, Otjiwarongo and Okahandja. Lunch en route with afternoon arrival in Windhoek where the tour ends [B+LP]
